As the population left and the city decayed only a few remained behind. Now a new generation of people are trying to make a stand and bring it all back through rebuilding abandoned homes and buildings (they are working to fix a community center on the south side).

This is a very good and hopeful look at people trying to make a difference. Sure it’s a little corner of the world, but it’s the place they and their families call home and to them it is worth fighting for.
