Maciej Osuch

Many congratulations to Escapee Maciej Osuch  who has recently started work as a junior animator at Blue Zoo, one of London's leading animation studios.

Maciej took our degree in 3D animation at Escape Studios, where he put together a strong animation demo reel, and built a LinkedIn profile with embedded links to his demo reel and website. 

Maciej joins Escapees Daniel Lötter, Tim Jones and Jamie Floodgate at Blue Zoo, all of whom studied animation at Escape Studios.

Maciej made the most of his time studying animation at Escape Studios; in 2019 he won a "Rising Star" Award in the category of Games Animation at the "Search for a Star" awards, hosted by Grads in Games. 

Also in 2019 Maciej directed the teaser/trailer "Golden Acorn", which has won multiple festival awards, including most recently the award for Best Trailer at the Vesuvius Film Festival in Naples.  He also became a Studio Assistant, helping to teach a new generation of student animators, and was Head of Animation on the award-winning short film "Draw". Maciej also contributed animation to the award-winning film "Over Under".

At Blue Zoo, Daniel will be working in a group of junior animators, under the supervision of experienced animators at Blue Zoo, one of the UK's leading animation studios.

Daniel joins many other Escapees who have joined Blue Zoo in recent years.  These include:

• Daniel Lötter, who joined Blue Zoo as an animator in February 2021 
• Tim Jones, Junior Animator at Blue Zoo, January 2021
• Jamie Floodgate: Jamie joined Blue Zoo in August 2019 as a junior animator, having graduated from our 12 week course in animation 
• Storyboard artist Fred O'Rourke, who joined Blue Zoo in July 2018
• Animator Marc Godfrey, who started as an animator at Blue Zoo in 2015

We also have a number of tutors from Blue Zoo who teach at Escape Studios; among them Francesca "Chess" Adams, who teaches our storyboarding evening class, and Jessie Ilham, who teaches our evening class in 2D Animation in Toonboom Harmony.
