Annie can't imagine falling in love again, until she meets a wealthy bachelor who is drawn to her free spirit. Afraid to love again, she longs for guidance when she starts to develop feelings for this new man. Her prayers are answered when she starts receiving communications from her late husband that encourage her to follow her heart.

An earnest young policeman believes a local woman has been wrongly convicted of murder and turns to defense attorney Claire Darrow (Kimberly Williams-Paisley) and D.A. Miles Strasberg (Tom Cavanagh) for help. Laura Graham has steadfastly denied killing her husband Tom, but was unable to rebut the powerful evidence tying her to the crime. That evidence, however, did not include a corpse: Tom’s body was never found. As Claire and Miles’ investigation leads them down unexpected paths, Claire is increasingly certain of Laura’s innocence - and not at all certain that a murder even took place.

Between the aunt who is depleting the family scholarship fund, the playboy cousin with an inheritance at stake, and a very angry business partner, almost every wedding attendee is a legitimate suspect.

“A Feeling of Home”
Stars: Jonna Walsh, Nathan Dean Parsons

Host of a New England web series, Abby (Jonna Walsh) is set to launch her own line of home products. All she needs is a few more authentically northeastern webisodes and the deal is done. Surprised to find her former boyfriend Ryan (Nathan Dean Parsons) is the ranch manager, Abby is soon swept up in their old chemistry. Torn between her Texas roots and her New England aspirations, Abby must decide where she belongs - with work in the northeast, or deep in the heart of Texas.

“After All These Years”
Stars: Wendie Malick, Martha Burns, Andrea Martin, Gregory Harrison

After 30 years of marriage, a woman is shocked when her husband leaves her for a younger woman. This shock pales in comparison to the next surprise: finding him stabbed to death on her kitchen floor. When the police name her as their prime suspect, she skips town to find the real killer, and to save her own life. As she questions her ex-husband's inner circle, she finds unexpected allies and enemies - and a growing list of suspects. She must hurry to solve the mystery before the police - hot on her tail - apprehend her and close the case for good.

MY TAKE:

I have heard great enthusiasm over the new "When Hope Calls" series! In fact, many Hearties ("When Calls the Heart" fans) are most excited to see this new prairie series, with the addition of "WCTH" Hope Valley visitors, Mountie Nathan Grant (Kevin McGarry), plus Lee and Rosemary Coulter (Kavan Smith and Pascale Hutton).

The rest of the Hallmark movies listed above, newly added to Hallmark Movies Now, are all ones I have seen, and are mostly appropriate for family viewing. I say mostly - because the mystery films are not always suitable for young viewers. Please use caution there. Also, "Hello, It's Me," with Kellie Martin and Kavan Smith is a sweet love story, but I want to foreworn, it has a somewhat odd super natural twist, that may be confusing for children.

At first, I wasn't certain I had seen "Love Surreal," but after looking it up, I realized it was previously titled "Everything You Want," and it initially aired on ABC Family in 2005 with a TV-PG rating. I recall it now with that title, and I remember the movie being strangely peculiar. I looked up some reviews from Amazon, which pretty much verified my memories of the film (see here). In short, they shared: this movie is mostly clean... cute with issues... a tad silly... a bit odd... with random inappropriate, out of context remarks..., plus, a pretend boyfriend who appears to be living with the lead girl.

The only film above, I've yet to see is "An Hour Behind," so I decided to also read some Amazon reviews on it. From what reviewers have shared, it appears to be a decent film for all ages, so I'm looking forward to watching it sometime - hopefully soon! Barry Watson, who plays the leading man, has been a favorite of mine since his days on the family drama "7th Heaven." He also starred in the Hallmark movie, "Kiss at Pine Lake." The lead actress is Emily Rose, of Hallmark's "The Thanksgiving House."

Those of you who subscribe to Hallmark Movies Now, or are planning to, it looks like there will be lots of wonderful films, in addition to "When Hope Calls" to look forward to in September! Enjoy!

Blessings! Net
