Animation Producer Steve Burch

Veteran animation producer Steve Burch will be joining us on Monday 27th April to give feedback via Google Hangouts and Syncsketch to our second year animation students, who are currently in the pre-production stage of three short films due for completion at the end of May.

Steve, who has worked on animation classics such as The Iron Giant, Space Jam, and Osmosis Jones, is an experienced producer with a long list of industry credits.

Producing animation is an increasingly important part of what we teach at Escape Studios, as our students collaborate on short film projects, entering festivals and winning awards.

our 2nd year undergraduates are currently working on the Studio Project Module PR5001, where students collaborate to work together on group projects. This module is the culmination of the second year of study at Escape Studios.

The module is divided up into two projects, of which the first has already been completed. The finished films are now being entered into film festivals.

About Steve Burch
Steve Burch started out in the animation industry as an effects artist, working on hits such as The Iron Giant, and later moving into production. You can see his extensive list of film credits at IMDB.

Steve will be joining us on Monday morning via Google Hangouts and Syncsketch, offering an industry perspective on the student films, which are currently on the cusp between pre-production and production, moving from storyboards and 3D layout into animation.  The deadline is Wednesday May 20th.
