Stockholm Syndrome is a documentary about rapper ASAP Rocky. It tells a little bit about his background, but mostly focuses on when he was arrested for assault in Sweden in 2019 and spent 2 months in jail there.
I read one review that said "you have to be a fan of ASAP Rocky to like this film". I can say that I don't think I've ever heard a song of his, and I enjoyed this doc. I do feel like it was a bit long- they really spent a lot of time on the court scenes; cameras weren't allowed inside, but they had the audio, so a good chunk of the movie is the trial.
The doc also consists of interviews with Rocky, his family, friends, some in the studio time and some concert footage.
The documentary isn't very deep (it could have gone into how black men are more likely to be treated unfairly by the judicial system, but it only touches on it briefly), but as someone who is a fan of music, I enjoyed this, and learning a little bit about a rapper that I wasn't familiar with at all.
