We're delighted to welcome back veteran animator Marc Stevenson, who will be joining us again at Escape Studios on Monday September 20th to teach our second year undergraduate students Module AN5002, in which students tackle the art of animal and creature animation.  

Marc has credits on multiple Hollywood VFX films including Fast & Furious 6, Avengers, Age of Ultron, Moon, and Victor Frankenstein.

Marc has also created many tutorials for our students, which you can find at our Animation Vimeo Channel.

AN5002 - Animals & Creatures
In this module, worth 30 credits, students learn to animate animals and creatures. The module starts on Monday 20 September 2021 and lasts five weeks. The module finishes on Friday 22nd October with students submitting a short piece of animal or creature animation for final assessment.

Animal and creature work
Much of the animation industry in London focuses on realistic animal and creature work, achieving photo-real levels of quality. For example, the Disney re-make of The Lion King was made at MPC in London.

This year we have three tutors teaching the second year animators, myself, Marc Stevenson and Amedeo Beretta. All our tutors at Escape Studios have experience of working on film projects featuring animal and creature animation.
