Associazione Italo Americana FVG / American Corner Trieste

November for us usually means Thanksgiving and spending time with family and friends. This year is different in many ways. We send you warm heartfelt wishes.
Here is an update on the situation of the Associazione Italo Americana FVG / American Corner Trieste.
40 years is huge! In light of the Mandate DPCM 24/10/2020, is temporarily suspended. We wanted to spend this anniversary with you, our members. We are still evaluating our options.
English Classes for Members
Italian government institutions have confirmed that we can continue with our English Classes IN PERSON. We had already implemented all the required Covid-19 rules and procedures. If necessary, we are ready to go LIVE ONLINE with all of our classes at ALL LEVELS.

Fall Break
We are CLOSED for FALL BREAK from 31/10 until 6/11. Back Open on Saturday, November 7th.

Election Day is over. The US Embassy to Italy and the US State Department have organized Live Chats with Experts to discuss the elections:

Thanksgiving – Thursday, November 26th
We can’t be together this year, but you can still celebrate at home.
Look at these Menu ideas for Thanksgiving for 1, 2, 4, or 6 people. This year you have to wash your own dishes, but it won’t compare to cooking for 100 like we have done at AIAFVG since 2014!
Not a fan of turkey? Make a pumpkin pie or an apple pie and remember the good times that we had together. Put on an Americana Playlist.
We’ll miss Erynn’s gravy, Leo’s pumpkin pie and the 5+1 Music.
Too busy on Thursday? Friday, Saturday or Sunday are also fine!
American Corner Virtual Events
In person events have been suspended. We are online on Facebook and Zoom.

US Citizens
Thank you for voting! Over 50 American citizens sent their ballots to the US from Trieste through the US Consulate General Milan Diplomatic Pouch. The service offered by the Consulate was much appreciated.
STEP – American citizens living and travelling abroad can register in the in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program and receive email updates and advisories from the US Embassy to Italy. US Citizens enrolled in this site also receive periodic invitations to webinars for American citizens in Italy. |
