Congratulations to Escapee Sofia Caldeira, who has started working as a Shot Creator at The Third Floor, one of the UK's leading previsualisation houses. 

Sofia took our evening course in Character Creation at Escape Studios, before  finding work as a 3D Layout Artist at MPC in London and later as a Lead Layout Artist at Jellyfish Pictures.

Sofia is one of a number of Escapees to join The Third Floor in recent months.

At Escape Studios, Sofia took our evening class in Character Creation, taught by Jonathan McFall.  Character Creation is an 18 week evening class in which students learn how to design, model, texture and rig their original characters.  Prior to studying at Escape Studios, Sofia worked as a photographer, which provided valuable experience with composition and cinematography.

The Third Floor

The Third Floor specialises in visualisation ("previs" and also "postvis") in which digital artists work closely with the director to lock down the look and feel of a project sequence, helping to make creative choices on camera and character performance.
